I recently joined the EntreCard community as a way to help drive traffic to my site. I assumed that I’d have ample designs to choose from for my logo during the signup process. Boy was I wrong! The best logo I could come up with through EntreCard was this:

Simply hideous. Oddly, EntreCard fully admits that their pre-designed logos are lame. So what can you do to spruce up your EntreCard logo or ad?

TYsTIPS.com currently uses the WPTP-Chocolate theme (by wpthemesplugin), sponsored and supported by www.web-hosting-top.com. A nice feature of this theme is a very clean spot in the top left corner of the header to place a prominent 468×60 adsense banner add. Placing the add is pretty simple, once you know where to paste the adsense script.

Note: I have decided to repost the GeekTechBlog article I wrote about starting up this WordPress.org (not WordPress.com) blog (TYsTIPS.com). I purchased my TYsTIPS.com domain name from GoDaddy, and I wanted to be able to host it with GoDaddy as well. I recently decided to give WordPress a try. I’ve used Blogger for several blogs and thought it was time to broaden my horizons a bit. I register all my domains through GoDaddy.com and out of convenience, I wanted to host my new WordPress blog (TysTips.com) on GoDaddy as well.
I Googled to figure out how to set up my GoDaddy domain and I was surprised to find that there were numerous posts on the subject, but all had poor or outdated instructions. It turns out that there are a few ways to install WordPress on a GoDaddy domain.
